Wallenstein Palace Garden in Prague Lesser Quarter
Wallenstein Palace (Valdstejnsky Palac) and its beautifully decorated and perfectly organized garden (Wallenstein Garden – Valdstejnska Zahrada) are among the most popular tourist attractions in Prague Lesser Quarter.
Wallenstein Palace Garden is located immediately under the Prague Castle hill – you can actually see parts of Prague Castle and the spires of St. Vitus Cathedral from the garden (you can’t see them on this picture, but here is another picture with Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral Seen from Wallenstein Garden).
Accommodation near Wallenstein Palace and Garden
The surroundings of Wallenstein Garden represent one of the most prestigious addresses in Prague (after all, Wallenstein Palace itself is the seat of the Czech Senate). There are many good hotels close to Wallenstein Garden. Most of them are 4 star of 5 star hotels. Room rates can be a bit higher than in other places, but you will stay in the neighbourhood of government buildings, palaces, and embassies.
Getting to Wallenstein Palace Garden
Wallenstein Palace Garden is situated between Malostranska (Lesser Quarter) Metro Station and Malostranske Namesti (Lesser Quarter Square). You can get to these places by metro line A or several tram lines. You can enter the gardens from two sides. One entrance is close to Malostranska Station (the pond on the picture is probably the first thing you will see when entering here). The other entrance is through Wallenstein Palace from Wallenstein Square (Valdstejnske Namesti).
