AC Sparta Praha is the most successful football club in the Czech Republic and regular participant of European competitions such as Champions League or European League. The main stadium of Sparta is Generali Arena, formerly known as Axa Arena or Letna Stadium (Letensky Stadion). Sparta Stadium is also one of the most frequent home game venues of the Czech National Football Team.

There are much wider choices of accommodation on the other side of the river in Prague city centre. Popular hotel districts are particularly the Old Town and Florenc – both about 15-20 minutes walk or a few tram stops from Sparta Stadium. These areas offer dozens of hotels of all price and quality categories, a great location within walking distance from most Prague’s tourist attractions, and endless options for nightlife and pub-hopping.

Another good hotel district with great nightlife and shopping opportunities is Wenceslas Square, though that is a bit further from Sparta Stadium, on the other side of Prague Old Town.

There is a tram stop immediately in front of the stadium’s main entrance – the stop is named Sparta. There are very frequent tram connections to Prague city centre (5-10 minutes by tram) and also to the nearest metro stations – Vltavska (on metro line C) and Hradcanska (on line A).
